Historic Opelika
Heritage House is situated smack dab in the middle of the Northside and Downtown Historic Districts. Enjoy the beautiful lawns and historic homes before walking Downtown where fantastic shopping and eateries have reinvigorated this sleepy old southern town into something unforgettable.
Eat, Drink, & Play
We are fortunate to have a wide variety of dining, nightlife, entertainment, and shopping options within a short walk. And thanks to the Downtown Entertainment District, you can take an adult beverage to go from many of the libation establishments.

Golf
Surrounding Lake Saugahatchee, Grand National is one of the best golf courses on Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. With 54 holes, set over 3 scenic courses, there’s a lot to like about Grand National.
Play the Lake Course, where 12 of the 18 holes stretch along the lakeside, or the Links Course which offers lush woodland, and a superb par-four 18th hole. The Short Course is 18 holes of undulating terrain which is sure to delight golfers from all over the world.
Auburn Football
Heritage House is just 8 miles from Jordan-Hare Stadium where football and tailgating are a proud SEC tradition. Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the nation’s 10th-largest on-campus stadium, with a capacity of 87,451, has served as home of the Auburn Tigers since 1939.
Chewacla Park
Chewacla State Park is a publicly owned recreation area in Auburn, Lee County, Alabama, occupying 696 acres to the south of Interstate 85. The state park’s central feature, 26-acre Lake Chewacla, provides opportunities for fishing, swimming, and non-motorized boating.
